What's New for 2016?
December 22, 2015

We're seeing snow and cold temps pretty regularly in our forecast now (FINALLY), and we're gearing up for the 2015/2016 season. We've got our snow guns in place and they're ready to fire up as soon as we see a suitable stretch of weather in the forecast. The current forecast tells us that will happen after Boxing Day. For the most info you'll ever need on our snow making operations, check out our blog post from last season.

In preparation for the upcoming ski and snowboard season, we've been working on a lot of projects around the Resort. Check out all the new stuff we're excited to share with you!

For our season pass holders, make sure you make the absolute most of your pass by taking advantage of  Marble Perks! We've got North Atlantic on board this season to offer you more value, so stay tuned for details on that partnership!

We've continued to invest in snow making this year, with four new snow making guns to add to our fleet. We also improved our snow making infrastructure on Knute Chute, Marble Chute, Jigger, Hansen's, and in the Terrain Park and Learning Area, with new electrical and hydro outlets. We also widened two sections on the lower half of Country Road, and moved large portions dirt to build up some areas where we now have to make less snow. And we filled in a number of potholes in the entrance to our parking lots! Continual investments in snow making and terrain modification ensure that we open and early as possible for skiing and snowboarding, and we have the highest quality snow and trails for all our guests to enjoy.

Some of you may have already noticed our new and improved online store, where we'll continue to sell season passes, and we'll be introducing multi-day lift tickets and Marble Cards for sale online as well. Don't forget, all you come from aways - you can now also book your Marble Villa reservations online, and check room availability! You'll reserve a room where renovations and improvements continued in preparation for the upcoming season, which completes our two year renovation project.

In the tasty world of food and beverage, we're in the process of doing a small renovation in the Cookhouse. We're doing a little reorganization of the fresh side by putting it front and center so our healthiest food options are more accessible. We're also opening up the entire space by moving the soup area to the right side, and improving traffic flow while we're at it. In the Knotty Pine Lounge, you'll see more bottles and draught beer options, as well as more beer selection at the West Bar. We're hoping to bring in limited time craft beer options, so keep your eyes peeled for those!

And finally, our chairlifts! The high-speed Lightning Express chairlift is full steam ahead for this season, and it'll be a real treat for those of you who didn't get the opportunity to test it out last season. We've done electrical upgrades on the Black Mariah lift, and mechanical upgrades on the Newfie Bullet. All in all, our chairlifts are just waiting to deliver you to the best skiing and snowboarding experience possible at Marble Mountain.
