Duties:

  • Answers telephone and greets visitors, ascertains the nature of business and provides information and/or routes calls to appropriate employee
  • Supports Managers by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analysing information; initiating communications; and preparing and compiling reports and data from various sources
  • Accept Marble Villa room bookings and cancellations; register arriving guests and process guests’ departures; book and prepare vouchers for activities external to Marble Mountain Resort; accept payments; complete night audit; respond to guests inquiries, concerns, or complaints; schedule housekeeping staff; and ensure daily cleanings and room checks are preformed
  • Represents Marble Mountain Resort in a professional manner at all times while adhering to all company policies and displays confidence and professionalism
  • Ensures office equipment is kept in working order
  • Maintains accurate and complete filing system
  • Responsible for following all health and safety legislative guidelines and safe work practices in the prescribed manner and shall report unsafe conditions
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Office Administration
  • 3 years’ experience in an administrative position
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Superior phone and customer service skills
  • High level of accuracy – detail oriented
  • Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Experience with a computerized reservation system and handling payments (cash, debit, and credit transactions)
  • Bilingual in French and English preferred

Position Summary: The primary duties of the Ski Patrol are to provide safety, first aid and rescue services for all guests and employees of Marble Mountain Resort.  Candidates must exhibit strong skiing or snowboarding skills.

 

Duties:

  • Daily mountain risk management including, but not limited to, maintenance of trail signage, fencing, hazard marking and mitigation, general mountain clean-up, administration of first aid, perform mountain rescue and enforce and ensure compliance of Marble Mountain Resort Rules and Regulations, and the Alpine Responsibility Code.
  • Keep records and complete reports in the prescribed manner.
  • Greet and serve guests in a professional and friendly manner and build rapport by asking questions and initiating conversation.  Assist with all reasonable requests.
  • Be familiar with all Resort products such as lift tickets and passes, Marble Villa, rentals, technical aspects of the Resort, and upcoming events; effectively communicate this knowledge to guests using positive language.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of all areas including Ski Patrol Clinic, and locker room.
  • All members of the patrol team must attend and successfully complete the annual Ski Patrol training including CPR, lift evacuation and toboggan handling.  Additionally, participate in any ongoing training throughout the ski season to ensure skills are maintained.
  • Be a team player with all employees and volunteers of Marble Mountain Resort; assist co-workers in the execution of their duties if required and able. We work as a team at Marble Mountain and no employee is above helping their teammates if they have the time and ability to do so.
  • Responsible for following all health and safety legislative guidelines and safe work practices in the prescribed manner and shall report unsafe conditions. Co-operate with employer, co-workers, OH&S committee/worker health and safety representative/workplace health and safety designate, and anyone exercising a duty imposed under OH&S legislation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Certified Advanced Medical Responder by CSP.
  • Oxygen administration/AED/HCP CPR certified.
  • Able to ski or snowboard to Advanced or Expert level of skiing or snowboarding.
  • Must be physically fit. Required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.  
  • Advanced training in first aid is an asset.
  • Ski Patrol experience an asset.
  • Rope Rescue experience an asset.
  • Search and Rescue experience an asset.
  • A self-starter with the ability to facilitate and coordinate day-to-day operations.
  • Proven organizational and motivational skills.
  • Passion for providing outstanding guest service.
  • Positive and friendly attitude.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adjust and readily adapt to changing priorities. Responsibilities frequently require an adjusted work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet resort operating demands.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
