Position Summary: Terrain Park Technician is responsible for the safe operations of Marble Mountains Terrain Park through regularly scheduled maintenance involving hand tooling of features. They must take all steps necessary to ensure terrain park features follow industry safety standards.  They will coordinate any volunteers in accordance with Marble Mountain standards and policies.

 

Duties:

  • To continually strive to exceed our Guest’s expectations and to create memories for guests and employee’s as the best mountain experience.
  • Be a positive role model through professional presentation and interaction with guests.
  • Scheduled hand maintenance for Terrain Park features involving hand tooling ensuring safety of all features is maintained.
  • Promote Terrain Park etiquette through the smart style program when utilizing park features and take advantage of teachable moments where users are not in line with park regulations.
  • Set up for special events.
  • Scheduled set up of Broadway learning area.
  • Works as an active member of the Marble Mountain team.
  • Create and complete daily log of terrain park features and maintenance.
  • Assist Ski Patrol in trail maintenance and hazard mitigation as required.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Advanced/Expert level of skiing or snowboarding.
  • Previous experience with Terrain Park safety, design & building.
  • Successful completion of the Park Scapers Program is an asset.
  • A self-starter with the ability to facilitate and coordinate day-to-day operations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – Be a team player with all employees and volunteers of Marble Mountain.
  • The ability to set priorities and be action oriented.
  • Adaptability – Capable of adjusting to changing priorities. Able to ski or snowboard to any location within the area's boundaries of the lift serviced area. Responsibilities frequently require an adjusted work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet resort operating demands.

Hours of Work :

Hours will be flexible based on snow conditions and need. Successful applicants will be expected to work mornings throughout the week and all day on weekends. Successful applicant will work with management to develop a schedule.

Position Summary: The primary duty of the Ski Patrol is to provide safety, first aid and rescue services for all guests and employees of Marble Mountain Resort. Candidates must exhibit strong skiing or snowboarding skills.

 

Duties:

  • Daily mountain maintenance of trail signage, fencing, hazard marking and mitigation
  • Administration of first aid and mountain rescue
  • Exceed our guests expectations and create memories and the best mountain experience possible
  • Advise guests of any activities happening both at the resort and in the surrounding area during their stay
  • Must be able to work in a professional manner and explain technical terms to guest in a manner that the guests will understand
  • Responsible for following all safety guidelines at all times
  • Maintain organization & cleanliness of all areas including patrol rooms
  • Able to keep records and complete reports in the prescribed manner
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Valid Advanced First Aid, CPR, Oxygen Administration and AED Certifications
  • Previous first aid/rescue experience is an asset
  • Highly motivated and independent
  • Ability to think clearly and maintain composure in a high stress environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills - be a team player with all employees, guests and volunteers of Marble Mountain
  • The ability to set priorities and be action oriented
  • Adaptability - capable of adjusting to changing priorities
  • Able to ski or ride confidently to any location on the mountain with a loaded toboggan
