Marble Mountain Development Corporation is a Crown Corporation of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.  The Corporation operates Marble Mountain Resort which is located in the Humber Valley near Corner Brook, Newfoundland.

From December to April, Marble Mountain Resort operates a ski/snowboard facility with 39 runs and four lifts. In the 2007-08 season, the resort had 95,270 skier visits.   In the summer months the primary activities are weddings, meetings and conventions which are held in the magnificent post and beam base lodge.

Marble Mountain Development Corporation is required to operate under the regulations of the Public Tender Act of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Marble Mountain Development Corporation (MMDC) is seeking proposals from interested parties in the private sector to build and operate summer, winter, and/or year round sports and recreation activities to enhance the guest experience at Marble Mountain Resort.  Target activities include, but are not limited to, an on-mountain snow tubing park, and short term RV camp sites in one of our parking areas.  Long term land lease arrangements are available. 


Located just 8 kilometers from Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Marble Mountain Resort is the jewel of eastern Canada.  Marble Mountain boasts an average of 70,000 winter visitors, with 20,000 summer visits, and a surrounding population of approximately 40,000. The Mountain has 39 trails for skiers and snowboarders, direct access to groomed snowmobile trails, a 55,000 square foot timber framed lodge, and an average annual snowfall of 16 feet. The mountain itself measures 1,700 feet, which is the highest vertical drop in Atlantic Canada. This beautiful resort is nestled amongst various types of accommodations in the Humber Valley, ranging from low cost to luxury, and provides easy access to a vast array of sports and activities for all ages and abilities.  Additionally, one of Atlantic Canada’s busiest airports, with daily regional and national connections, is situated in Deer Lake, just 25 minutes away by car.
