Big plans for the 2008-09 winter season!
We’re growing and we want to make sure that your experience on our mountain stays fresh, so this summer we’ll be busy working on some major projects. The Knotty Pine Lodge is almost 13 years old and it needs a little TLC. We’ll be making some minor improvements to the lodge to keep it looking good, but our focus will be on the mountain itself. We have three major enhancements planned that will please skiers and snowboarders from beginner to expert … there’s something for everyone! 1) For our beginners, we are installing a surface conveyor lift, commonly known as a Magic Carpet. Learning to ski and snowboard should be fun and this new and easy way up the beginner slope will make learning a positive experience. 2) Marble Mountain Resort is well known for its challenging terrain. What we do lack is novice or blue runs. We plan to create more novice terrain on the lower half of the mountain, while improving existing runs. The transition from beginner to novice terrain will be smoother and all skiers and snowboarders will have more terrain to enjoy. 3) For the thrill-seekers who like to fly, we are significantly expanding our Terrain Park. Terrain Parks have evolved into highly technical and inventive playgrounds for skiers and snowboarders alike. Excavators will shape and mold our Terrain Park, allowing us to add exciting and challenging features and hopefully get the park open earlier in the season.
